16 Nov 2011 So, being fairly new to the forums but not new to fabrication or trying new things out I figured I'd help out us guys who want an oil catch can but  The catch can acts as a reservoir for the oil blown out of the outlets of the tappet cover. Instead of being tapped back into the intercooler piping before the turbo,

Purpose: So I finally got around to making this DIY. I had been wanting to install a catch can for awhile because of the mechanical and aesthetic benefits of my engine. If you don't already know an oil catch can will "catch" the oil vapor that is released through your PCV system and condense the vapor in the can so that you don't recirculate nasty oil sludge back into your intake tract. The catch can acts as a reservoir for the oil blown out of the outlets of the tappet cover. Instead of being tapped back into the intercooler piping before the turbo, and also directly into the plenum as is standard procedure, the 2 lines both run into the catch can.

Coil too tight and the oil may tend to hang around in the upper area of the can and be drawn into the outlet. I like the idea of the fuel filter on the outlet. A concern that I have with the DIY PVC cans is that the vibration of the truck can cause the baffle material to abrade the PVC and allow it to pass into the outlet
